MOSSOPS, A QUEENSLAND ICON

Mossops has been serving the Queensland anglers for over fifty years. Len Mossop started working as a barber but Len’s passion for fishing soon saw the barber shop selling fishing gear. AS the tackle sales increased, the barber chairs decreased and a Queens land icon was born.

Len’s first shop at Annerley was a fisherman’s Mecca, staffed by experienced anglers the business grew to six shops state wide

A NEW DIRECTION

Mossops is located at Ormiston, in a location that was occupied buy another iconic bayside bait shop (Budds) for nineteen years.

Mossops is a supplier of quality fresh, frozen, salted and brined bait, a great range of tackle and staffed by experienced anglers. We still have customers come in and tell us of their first rod and reel purchase from Mossops.

We enjoy giving first time anglers great advice on a rod and reel combo to get them started, and all the staff get just as much of a thrill in giving advice to catch a fish as catching one themselves.

From estuary, blue water, impoundment, fresh and salt water, we have the right advice and tackle to help all anglers catch their favourite fish.
